Maroubra - The place of Thunder
Maroubra Beach is popular with visitors given the easy proximity to the beach and surrounding open spaces. There is an outdoor gym, free BBQ's, Skate Park and large kid playground. On the north end of Maroubra beach down the steep steps from Marine parade is the Mahon rock pool. The exposed rock and cliffs about make it a spectacular venue for swimming and there is the added benefit of an amenities block overlooking the pool.
